All accounts and cards are monitored for suspicious activity

Data is encrypted with the latest security technology

Online and mobile sessions automatically log out after 15 minutes of inactivity

Three unsuccessful logon attempts will lock out users

Logging in can be done via fingerprint or facial recognition on compatible devices

Login attempts from new devices are verified with a one-time passcode

Account numbers, PINs or card numbers are never requested via calls, texts or emails

You can take steps to secure your identity and information, too

  • Use a strong password that combines uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
  • Verify your mobile device to receive one-time passcodes for various account activity. To verify your device, log in to online banking, then “Settings” then the “Contact” tab.
  • You can receive account alerts via email and/or text notifications to monitor activity on your Monterra accounts. 
  • Use our Secure Messaging portal to contact us, instead of your regular email.
  • Avoid using your web browser to store your login credentials.
  • Use virus protection software to routinely scan your computer.
  • Don't open email attachments coming from people you don't know.
