  • Have a minimum of 10 or more Visa® Debit Card and/or point-of-sale (POS) transactions posted to your checking account
  • Make at least one direct or payroll deposit or have an external ACH transfer, in any amount, to your checking account amount
  • Elect to receive eStatements in lieu of monthly paper statements

The Premium Savings Account is designated as a variable rate account with two APY rates associated with this account: the base (lower) APY and the bonus (higher) APY. The bonus (higher) APY is paid on average daily balances if three monthly (statement cycle) requirements are met within a Monterra Credit Union checking account: (1) 10 or more debit card purchases or debit card payments are posted (ACH/bill pay payments and ATM transactions are not counted toward the monthly requirement), (2) one direct deposit, payroll deposit, or external ACH transfer is received within your checking account (3) eStatements are selected. All requirements must be applied to any checking account type excluding Business Checking Accounts. If the monthly (statement cycle) requirements are not met in their entirety, the base (lower) APY will be paid on the Premium Savings. In order to qualify for the Premium Savings Account bonus APY, a checking account type (excluding Business Accounts) is required within the same membership account.
