Wade Painter
Wade Painter has been president and CEO of Monterra Credit Union since May 2015. Painter’s previous position was with Redwood Credit Union (RCU), where he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for six years. Prior to his work in credit union management, Painter worked for a national accounting firm where he functioned as managing director of credit union consulting services and partner in charge of credit union attestation services.
Painter’s experience also includes nearly 40 years in credit union financial management, risk management, corporate strategy, and information technology. He has a thorough understanding of the community financial institution business model and the credit union/financial cooperative value proposition.
Painter is skilled in entrepreneurial and growth-oriented strategies in the credit union industry. He is successfully leading Monterra into the future by enhancing business model strengths and expanding the credit union’s excellent reputation for community involvement. A committed leader, he firmly embraces the credit union philosophy of people helping people.
