These are the types of communications you'll receive from us, some of which you can opt out of receiving.

When Monterra Credit Union sends mail to you, it falls under one of three categories below.

1. Promotional Mail: These communications will include an invitation to open, apply, utilize, or learn more about a highlighted financial product or service. We will use the address we have on file for you.

  • Opt Out: If you no longer wish to receive promotional mail from Monterra, you can call (650) 363-1725 or visit any branch and ask to be placed on the “Do Not Mail” list.

2. Prequalified Offer Mail: These communications include an offer of credit based on your relationship with Monterra and your credit bureau information. We will use the address we have on file for you.

  • Opt Out: If you no longer wish to receive a prescreen credit offer from Monterra, you can opt out by calling Experian at (888) 567-8688, writing to Experian at P.O. Box 9532 Allen, Texas 75013 or visiting their website at www.optoutprescreen.com. Please note, opting out in this manner may remove you from receiving any prequalified offers from Experian through any vendor, not just those sent by Monterra.

3. Account Information Mail: These communications will include information directly related to an account, loan, service or membership with Monterra for informational or compliance purposes. We will use the address we have on file for you.

  • Opt Out: You cannot opt out or limit these types of communications as they are required based on the relationship you have with Monterra.

When Monterra sends an email to you, it falls under one of three categories below.

1. Promotional Email: These communications will include an invitation to open, apply, utilize, or learn more about a highlighted financial product or service. We will use the email address we have on file for you, if one is available.

  • Opt Out: As a member of Monterra, your membership automatically opts you in to receive promotional email. If you no longer wish to receive promotional email from Monterra, you can opt out using the link at the bottom of any email we send.

2. Prequalified Offer email: These communications include an offer of credit based on your relationship with Monterra and your credit bureau information. We will use the email address we have on file for you, if one is available.

  • Opt Out: If you no longer wish to receive a prescreen credit offer email from Monterra, you can opt out by either using the link at the bottom of any email we send, calling (650) 363-1725 or visit any branch and express your choice to opt out of receiving promotional email. Please note that to fully opt out of receiving a prescreen credit offer you may call Experian at (888) 567-8688, write to Experian at P.O. Box 9532 Allen, Texas 75013 or visit their website at www.optoutprescreen.com. Opting out in this manner may remove you from receiving any prequalified offers from Experian through any vendor and not just those sent by Monterra.

3. Account Information email: These communications will include information directly related to an account, loan, service or membership with Monterra for informational or compliance purposes. We will use the email address we have on file for you, if one is available.

  • Opt Out: You cannot opt out or limit these types of communications as they are required based on the relationship you have with Monterra.

When Monterra sends a text message to you, it falls under one of three categories below. While Monterra does not charge for text messages, your carrier’s message/data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for specific SMC/Text charges.

1. Promotional Text Message: These communications will include an invitation to open, apply, utilize, or learn more about a highlighted financial product or service. We will use the phone number we have on file for you, if one is available.

  • Opt Out: As a member of Monterra, your membership automatically opts you in to receive receiving promotional text messages. If you no longer wish to receive promotional text messages from Monterra, reply STOP to opt out of receiving text messages. Your reply will opt you out of receiving messages from the specific phone number or short code where the message originated from.

2. Prequalified Offer text message: These communications include a prescreened offer of credit based on your relationship with Monterra and your credit bureau information. We will use the phone number we have on file for you, if one is available.

  • Opt Out: If you no longer wish to receive a Prequalified Offer prescreen credit offer through text messaging from Monterra, reply STOP to opt out of receiving text messages. Your reply will opt you out of receiving messages from the specific phone number or short code where the message originated from.

3. Account Information text message: These communications will include information directly related to an account, loan, or service or membership with you use at Monterra for informational or compliance purposes. We will use the phone number we have on file for you, if one is available.

  • Opt Out: You may be able to opt out and/or limit receiving certain types of text message communications depending on the text alert type.
