There’s no better time to share the value of Monterra. When someone signs up with your unique referral code, you both earn $50. All you have to do is share your code, now available directly through Online Banking (OLB) for quick and easy access.

Send your unique promo code to family, friends, or a business owner you’d like to refer. Your code can be found in a Refer a Friend email or mailer or by logging into Online Banking (OLB) and navigating to Accounts > Refer a Friend.

Your referral joins Monterra
When your referral opens a new membership1 using your promo code, we’ll automatically credit the referral to you. - You both earn rewards
You’ll receive a bonus2 for each successful referral, with payouts made by the 30th of the month following account opening.
Your referral earns their bonus immediately after opening their membership.
Referral Bonuses:
- $50 for you and $50 for your referral when a new personal membership is opened
- $100 for you and $100 for your referral when referring a new business membership3
1. Referrals must be eligible to join and must be a non-member who has not previously had an account with Monterra Credit Union. Business and Youth (age 17 and younger) membership accounts cannot be opened online. Payouts to the existing member are made by the 30th of the following month a new referral joins. Upon successful enrollment, the new member will receive their bonus only after the minimum opening $1 share pledge deposit is collected.
2. To receive a referral bonus, your referral must enter your promotion (promo) code at the time they apply for and open their membership account. Your promo code is available in your Refer a Friend email or mailer, or by logging into Online Banking (OLB). If you cannot locate your promo code, contact us for assistance by calling, visiting a branch, or sending a secure message through Online Banking. Referral bonuses are limited to ten (10) eligible new memberships per referring member.
3. To earn the $100 bonus for referring a business, your referral(s) must provide your promotion (promo) code at the time of opening their membership account. Business membership accounts cannot be opened online and must be opened at a branch location.
A bonus is classified as interest paid to the membership share (savings) account type. Any applicable taxes associated with the bonus are the responsibility of the account owner. To the extent required by law, Monterra Credit Union will report the total value of this bonus to the IRS or Form 1099-INT for the tax year in which the bonus was paid. Conditions and restrictions apply.
